Question 1

how do you control it? and can you change the directions of individual motors?

It is an h-bridge, so you flip the polarity to flip the direction. The speed of the motor is controlled by PWM.

Question 2

All of these questions are asking basically the same thing, but I only see answers from the text of the selling page.  I asked if the selling page / product description says that Drive Voltage: 5V-35V Drive current: 2A (MAX single bridge)... WHY DOES THE CONNECTION ON THE BOARD SAY 12V...?Did I get the wrong product?  Is this board just going to blow up when it finally decides that it can't handle the 20  volts I intend to put in it?

Hi! In this case, you can do a little research, but TLDR: you can go up to 35 V, no problems, but you have to remove the jumper located above the power supply connector. Longer answer: 1st, you can see
                                                                                                                    that the capacitors are rated for 35V (*****V VT). Also, you can check the datasheet of the L298N chip which says that the maximum supply voltage is 46 V (page 3 of the datasheet). You have to be aware that there is a jumper on the board which should be removed if you use the device with larger than 12 V. The jumper is located between the input terminal and one of the capacitors (bottom left corner of the board). I also tested this type of circuit board with different voltages and it was fine. In fact, my board does not have the 12 V printed on it.

Question 3

The description says Drive voltage: 5V-35V, and the board says +12v... If I use more than 12 volts am I going to melt this H-Bridge?

Chip needs two voltage, one for logic supply and another for drive supply. From data sheets I found that max voltage for logic is 7 v and for drive - 50 v. This is parameters for chip. On board I
