How do I get it to work with computer? I downloaded the CH340 drivers from the official website but it doesnt work still.

I also downloaded the CH340 driver and it didn't load Arduino sketch UNTIL I changed to ATMEL328 bootloader (old version) in Arduino IDE. Now works fine.

What power supply does this controller need/work with?

Recommendedis to use a 5V power supply, 1A is enough for just the microcontroller. You can go up to 12V I do it myself but then the voltage regulators have to work harder and get warmer to burn off the over voltage as heat so you need to take that into account if you use a power supply higher than 5V. ... see more see less

Mini USB. I believe 2.0 not 3.0

Do any of the contacts(pins) have PWM(pulse-width-modulation)? I don't see any evidence that it does, & I am afraid of destroying it to test & find out.

do you have a 1-1,5m cable for this? not sure what to buy

Justuse whatever you have, the Arduino doesn't pull a lot of current so any cable will do

Does it worked with HDD motors?

Yes.It does with some surrounding electronics to help with speed and 12 VDC power that the motor needs. You can find several technical articles and DIY outside on the Internet. I'm sorry but I cannot paste links here.

Setup Guide
