The WeMos lithium battery shield provides a means of powering your WeMos mini, or WeMos mini Pro (see item HCWEMO0002) from a single cell (3.7V) lithium battery. The shield contains a DC-DC converter to step-up the batteries 3.7V to 5V supplying your WeMos mini and shields with up to 1A of power. When the battery is depleted simply plug the shield into a USB power source using a mini USB cable and it will automatically recharge the battery. Two LEDs on the shield indicate when the battery is charging and when charging has completed.

You can use D1 mini without USB cable, it's really wireless now. Put D1 mini anywhere, using this battery shield and a lithium Battery.

Setup Guide

Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.

Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.

Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.

Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.

Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
