The  WCS1700 current sensor provides economical and precise solutions for both DC and AC current sensing in industrial, commercial, and communications systems.

The unique package provides easy implementation without breaking the original system and makes current sensing possible. Typical applications include motor control, load detection and management, over-current fault detection, and any intelligent power management system, etc. The WCS1700 consists of a precise, low-temperature drift linear hall sensor IC with a temperature compensation circuit and diameter of 9.0mm through-hole. Users can use the system’s own electric wire to bypass it through this hole to measure passing current. This design allows system designers to monitor any current path without breaking or changing the original system layout at all. Any current flowing through this hole will generate a magnetic field that is sensed by the integrated Hall IC and converted into a proportional voltage.

Features:

  1. The current detection resolution of 32mV / A
  2. Output overcurrent signal indication
  3. Overcurrent signal is set critical point adjustable settings Resolution 3A
  4. With mounting holes for easy firmware installation
  5. Sampling current converting analog signal output, which can be accessed ADC, TTL level signal output, which can be accessed microcontroller IO port control.
  6. The output signal is the signal level of the analog signal.
  7. Maximum current sensing range : 70A
Note : Color may be different .

Package Includes:

1 x WCS1700 Hall Current Sensor with Over Current Protection

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
