Features of the Ultrasonic Sensor DYP-A02YYMW-V2.0 module include millimeter resolution, 3cm to 450cm range, construction and several output types: PWM pulse width output, UART controlled output, UART automatic output, switching output, RS485 output.

The sensor adopts a compact and sturdy PVC housing and meets the IP67 water intrusion standard. In addition, the A02 uses high output sound power, combined with continuously variable gain, real-time background automatic calibration and noise suppression algorithms to provide almost noise-free distance readings.

In addition,Firmware filtering for excellent noise tolerance and clutter rejection A02YY is the shell-less version of this series, suitable for customers to meet their own applications and design by themselves.

Features:

  1. Resolution: Millimeter-level accuracy
  2. Range: 3 cm to 450 cm (max), with 3 cm dead band
  3. Output Types: PWM, UART (automatic/control), Switch, RS485
  4. Power: 3.3-5.0V (standard), 5.0-24.0V (RS485), ≤8mA (≤15mA for RS485)
  5. Temperature: Operating range -15°C to +60°C
  6. Waterproof: IP67 rated for harsh environments
  7. Low Power: Standby current ≤5uA

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
