The Single Axis Solar Tracking Module is a compact automatic light tracking board designed to align solar panels or light sources in a single direction. It works using dual photoresistors and a shadow obstruction principle to detect light imbalance and rotate a connected geared motor toward the brightest point. Operating at 5–5.5V DC, this module ensures stable tracking with anti-shake delay control for smooth movement. Ideal for solar-powered experiments, search light projects, and educational robotics, it delivers accurate light positioning when paired with a slow-speed geared motor. Its small size and simple interface make it perfect for DIY solar tracking applications.

Features:

  1. Single-axis automatic light tracking
  2. Operates on 5–5.5V DC supply
  3. Photoresistor-based light sensing
  4. Anti-shake short delay circuit
  5. Supports geared motor connection
  6. Compact 35×16×1.2mm size
  7. Easy motor polarity swap support
  8. Ideal for DIY solar projects

Package Includes:

1 x Solar Tracking Module Circuit Board

2 x photoresistor(15cm Cable length)

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
