The Raindrop Detection Sensor Module detects the presence of water using a conductive PCB sensing plate and a comparator-based control module. When water droplets bridge the exposed conductive traces, the electrical resistance between them decreases.

This change alters the sensor's analog output voltage and can also trigger a digital output when a user-adjustable threshold is exceeded. The analog output provides an indication of the sensor plate's wetness level, while the digital output is useful for rain/no-rain detection applications. The module is intended for qualitative moisture detection rather than accurate rainfall measurement.
