The NUCLEO-F412ZG Development Board provides an affordable and flexible way for users to try out new concepts and build prototypes by choosing from the various combinations of performance and power consumption features, provided by the STM32 microcontroller. For the compatible boards, the internal or external SMPS significantly reduces power consumption in Run mode. The ST Zio connector, which extends the ARDUINO® Uno V3 connectivity, and the ST morpho headers provide an easy means of expanding the functionality of the Nucleo open development platform with a wide choice of specialized shields. The STM32 Nucleo-144 board does not require any separate probe as it integrates the ST-LINK debugger/programmer. The NUCLEO-F412ZG Development Board comes with the STM32 comprehensive free software libraries and examples available with the STM32Cube MCU Package.

 Features:

  1. Flexible Prototyping: Offers multiple combinations of performance and power efficiency.
  2. Power Management: Integrates internal or external SMPS for reduced power consumption in Run mode.
  3. Enhanced Connectivity:ST Zio Connector: Expands ARDUINO® Uno V3 connectivity.
  4. ST Morpho Headers: Allows integration of specialized shields for added functionality.
  5. Integrated Debugger/Programmer: Built-in ST-LINK eliminates the need for a separate probe.
  6. Software Support: Comes with comprehensive STM32 software libraries and examples through the STM32Cube MCU Package.

Specification:

  1. Microcontroller: STM32 series (various options)
  2. Debugging: Integrated ST-LINK/V2-1
  3. Power Management: Internal/external SMPS for reduced power consumption
  4. Dimensions: Nucleo-144 form factor
  5. Software Support: STM32Cube MCU Package; free libraries/examples
  6. Operating Voltage: Typically 3.3V
  7. I/O Pins: Multiple GPIOs, ADCs, UART, SPI, I2C
  8. User Interfaces: Onboard LEDs and buttons
  9. Compatibility: Supports various shields for extended functionality

Package include:

1 x STMICROELECTRONICS NUCLEO-F412ZG Development Board, STM32 Nucleo-144 MCU, Arduino™Uno V3 Connectivity, Flexible Power Supply

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
