Function Description:


Battery Lockout and Activation

When the IP5328P is connected to the battery for the first time, no matter what the battery voltage is, the chip is in a locked state, and the lowest bit of the power indicator will flash 4 times to prompt; in the non-charging state, if the battery voltage is too low, it will trigger a low-power shutdown , IP5328P will also enter the locked state.

In the locked state, in order to reduce the static power consumption, the IP5328P does not have a mobile phone insertion detection function, nor can it be activated by pressing a button. At this time, the button action cannot activate the boost output, but the lowest position of the battery light will flash 4 times as a reminder.

In the locked state, you must enter the charging state to activate the chip function.


Charge

The IP5328P has a constant-current, constant-voltage Li-ion battery charge management system that supports synchronous switching architecture. It can automatically match different charging voltage specifications.

When the battery voltage is less than 3V, use 250mA trickle charging; when the battery voltage is greater than 3V, enter the input constant current charging, the maximum charging current of the battery terminal is 5.0A; when the battery voltage is close to the set battery voltage, enter the constant voltage charging; The charging current at the battery terminal is less than about 300mA and the

When the battery voltage is close to the constant voltage, stop charging. After the charging is completed, if the battery voltage is lower than 4.1V, restart the battery charging.

IP5328P adopts switching charging technology with a switching frequency of 500kHz. When charging with normal 5V input, the maximum input power is 10W; when charging with fast charging input, the maximum input power is 18W. The maximum charging current at the battery terminal can reach 5.0A, and the charging efficiency is as high as 94%, which can shorten the charging time by 3/4.

IP5328P will automatically adjust the charging current to adapt to adapters with different load capacities.

The IP5328P does not support simultaneous charging and discharging. In the charging state, the output discharge port will be closed to prevent the input high voltage from damaging the charged device.


Boost

IP5328P integrates a synchronous switching converter system that supports high voltage output, supports 5V~12V wide voltage range output, and the load capacity is 5V—3.1A, 7V—2.4A, 9V—2.0A, 12V—1.5A. The switching frequency is 375KHz. Built-in soft-start function to prevent failure caused by excessive inrush current at startup, integrated output over-current, short-circuit, over-voltage, over-temperature and other protection functions,

Setup Guide

Identify the pins
