The HTC AVM-03 is a compact, single-channel anemometer that measures the wind velocity in 0.70-30.00 m/s (2-100 mph). It features a stainless steel housing with a stainless steel blade measuring 1.0 m in diameter. The unit is powered by a 12 VDC power source and comes with a 20\\' (6.05 m) 4-conductor cable and mounting bracket. It records data continuously for one minute and can save up to twelve hours of accumulated data. Featuring an onboard memory, the unit allows for continuous monitoring of wind speed and direction throughout the day. The sensor head can be mounted on a tripod or the included stake to measure wind speed at any angle or height. This anemometer can keep track of the highest and lowest measured speeds, as well as the average speed over a given period of time. The single pushbutton allows you to switch between these two measurements with ease. It also has a 1/100 second chronograph with average readings. It measures the wind speed by using a 1- to 3-blade propeller that rotates through the air and measures its speed by counting the number of times it rotates every second. The blades are aligned with the wind direction and spin on their axes as they move, so that the axis of rotation stays parallel to the wind direction. Note : Actual product may vary in terms of color.

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
