The HS-S31P, Collision Sensor switch module is essentially a micro snap-action switch, also known as a micro switch, which is an electronic switch activated by very small physical pressure. It can be directly connected to a single-chip microcomputer. It integrates the load resistor with the LED indicator. This makes it easier to test it. When physical pressure triggers the switch to close, the LED indicator on the board will light up. The principle of the collision switch is relatively simple, as shown in the following schematic diagram. When it is triggered to close by external force, the switch is closed and the module outputs a low level; when the external force is removed, the switch is opened and the module outputs a high level.

Features:

  1. Works with 3.3V to 5.5V power
  2. 3-pin connector (GND, VCC, Signal)
  3. Has a built-in LED indicator
  4. Uses a mechanical switch
  5. Outputs LOW when pressed, HIGH when released
  6. Two mounting holes (3mm, 10mm apart)
  7. Easy to connect and use
  8. Compatible with Arduino, ESP32, and more

Package Includes:

1 x HS-S31P, Collision Sensor

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
