Budget Choice for Hobbyists  The SkyWalker Series is a budget-friendly ESC line that is mainly developed for Airplanes. Of course, they have the HOBBYWING high-quality assurance and will bring you max. safety and fun. They are suitable for RTF applications and beginners to increase their performance or have a simple start. Hobbywing SkyWalker 40A ESC Although it is a budget choice, Hobbywing Skywalker-40A is made within Hobbywing Factory, not an OEM cheapo. It uses Linear mode BEC instead of Switching mode BEC (BEC is the circuit that powers the Servos and other electronics on the heli), so the price can come down. Overall, Hobbywing Skywalker-40A still does the job of providing 40A power to the motor, just it’s a bit hotter than other 40A.

Setup Guide

1
Charge the vehicle battery
Connect the vehicle battery to the included charger. Charge fully (typically 1–2 hours) before first run. Never leave charging unattended.
2
Install batteries in the transmitter
Open the transmitter battery compartment and insert AA batteries as indicated by the polarity markings.
3
Power on in the correct order
Turn ON the transmitter FIRST, then the vehicle. This prevents unexpected runaway movement.
4
Trim and calibrate
If the vehicle pulls left or right at rest, use the steering trim knob on the transmitter to centre it.
5
Start slowly
Begin with half-throttle to get a feel for the controls. Gradually increase speed as you become familiar with the handling.
