It would appear as though the inch scale markings on the base are incorrect as there are two identical markings for 1-3/4 either side (above and below) the 1-1/2 mark which is confusing - please clarify?

One scale is for material thickness and the other is to set the drill bit accordingly

In Europe we are mainly using 18mm materials, not 19mm as shown on the scale. Is it possible to set the jig for 18mm material and will it work with the 32mm pocket screws?_I am using sometimes 12mm material. Is the jig good for that thickness?_Thanks for the answers

Yes, that's not a problem at all, even if you have other materials, the drilling tip comes through approximately in the middle of the subsequent material.
