If these are genuine cobalt material they should be suitable for longer term use with: mild steel, alloy steel & stainless - Is this the case?

It’s a cobalt plating as far as I can see, rather than a ‘true’ cobalt blend. Should work on stainless, but i don’t expect it will last for ever. As it’s plated, it probably won’t sharpen that well either, as you’ll just be taking off the coating (making it basically just an HSS bit). Setup Guide
