This is a BMP-180 based digital barometric pressure sensor module and is functionally compatible with the older BMP-085 digital pressure sensors with less power consumption smaller in size and more accurate. BMP180 combines barometric pressure, temperature, and altitude. The I2C allows easy interface with any microcontroller. Onboard 3.3V LDO regulator makes this board fully 5V supply compatible. BMP-180 can measure pressure range from 300 to 1100hPa (+9000m to -500m relating to sea level) with an accuracy down to 0.02hPa (0.17m) in advance resolution mode. BMP-180 is an improved replacement for the BMP-085 sensor. BMP-180 uses piezo-resistive technology for high accuracy, linearity, EMC robustness, and stability for a longer period of time. Note : HW-415 on board working remains same.
Application :
  1. Enhancement of GPS navigation (dead-reckoning, slope detection, etc.)
  2. In- and out-door navigation
  3. Leisure and sports
  4. Weather forecast
  5. Vertical velocity indication (rise/sink speed)

Features:

  1. Can measure temperature and altitude.
  2. Pressure range: 300 to 1100hPa
  3. High relative accuracy of ±0.12hPa
  4. Can work on low voltages
  5. 3.4Mhz I2C interface
  6. Low power consumption (3uA)
  7. Pressure conversion time: 5msec
  8. Potable size

Package Includes:

1 x BMP180 Digital Barometric Pressure Sensor Module

1 x 5 Pin Male Header

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
