TF03-180 is an industrial-grade long-range LiDAR. Its maximum detection range can reach 180m. With an integrated compensating algorithm for outdoor glare and other interference, TF03-180 can work under a strong light environment and rain, fog, and snow conditions. Multiple built-in operating modes let customers change their parameters and configuration to meet different applications. TF03 adopts the pulsed time-of-flight principle. The unique design of the optical system and the signal processing circuit improved the detecting performance in a compact size. In addition to increasing the range to more than 100 meters, the key parameters also have excellent performance in the whole range, such as distance resolution, accuracy, repeatability, and detection frequency. As the third generation product of the TF series, TF03-180 inherits the cost-effective and compact- integration characteristics of the previous two generations. Meanwhile, TF03-180 upgrades more than ten key parameters and offers multiple expansion functions to meet the various demands in different application areas. The product is applicable to the terrain-following of drones, the collision avoidance of cars, intelligent transportation, and industrial safety warning. TF03 4-20mA version supports current analog output, and the debugging port is TTL serial port.  Application:

Setup Guide

Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.

Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.

Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.

Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.

Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
